Ways to Spread JOY!! | Birmingham Bloomfield Hills Moms

Many of us are feeling the isolation and lack of connection as we have been home for over a month. There are lots of people who could use some cheering up, so here are ways to spread JOY! These ideas were started by individuals in our community. Give one a try this weekend!

Greeting Cards

Owner of Untied on Woodward, Erik Miller has taped greeting cards to the front door of his shop. As you walk by you can take one and spread the love to a loved one or friend. His goal is for you to order an item as a gift from a small business in Birmingham, and send it to a loved one with one of the cards. @Untiedonwoodward    #spreadloveinbirmingham #shoplocal

Caring Cards for Senior Citizens

Groves junior Isaiah Rubin started a community service project, Caring Cards for COVID-19. So far he has safely delivered more than 350 cards for distribution to patients at various senior centers in Oakland County. You can also make handmade cards that will be shared, and place them in a new drop box located outside the front entrance to Groves. @birminghampublicschools   #BPSConnectED

Care Cards- by Ksenija Savic

Ksenija Savic is a photographer, blogger, and beautiful mom on the inside and out. She created Care Cards– cards that give back. For every pack of Care Cards purchased, one will be written and sent to a child in foster care on their birthday. Each pack comes with 7 unique cards with positive words, images, and a set of stickers! You can check them out on www.passionlifelove.storenvy.com, and if you do, spend some time reading her blog and you will definitely feel inspired!

DIY Rainbow Kit

Get your own DIY kits to create a rainbow sign. This design was inspired by a movement in Italy where kids have been painting rainbows and adding the phrase, “Andra tutto bene”, roughly translated to “all will be well.” Rainbows can be found in windows all across the globe. With this kit you will get the primary colors (red, yellow, blue) needed to create the rest of the colors in the rainbow. This can be an art, and science project when talking about how to combine colors to make other colors! To support a local mom who started this project here, you can get your kit- 1 for $35 or 2 for $60. Delivery available! Contact @ghartwig4 for orders and payment.   #allwillbewell
