When Birmingham mom Carrie Carlisle Schulze @carrie_carlisle posted an amazingly hilarious photo of her family, depicting life during the COVID-19 Quarantine, I reached out to her the next day, and we both knew we wanted to make something BIG out of it! So Carrie and I created, “Porch-raits for a Purpose” to benefit Humble Design, and help local families who have hopes of having a home of their own. Plus, we thought moms could use some comic relief during this stressful time!
Carrie is a creative mom, graphic designer, and has a passion for photography. She spent an entire week organizing photo shoots and taking the porch-raits of families throughout Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills, representing their experience during the quarantine. Thank you Carrie! The photos were taken from at least 6 feet away to provide for acceptable social distancing! A $25 donation was suggested, but we were thrilled to receive even more than that per family. ALL proceeds are going directly to Humble Design. 💗
HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE
Our photo sessions have concluded, but we invite you to take your own porch-raits, and post with #porchraitsforapurpose, and tag @Birminghambloomfieldhillsmoms and @Carrie_Carlisle. Donations can be sent to Carrie through Venmo @Carrie-Carlisle-4. We can provide you with a tax donation form. Email Porchraitsforapurpose@gmail.com with any comments or questions. If you would like to simply make a donation (again, ALL donations go directly to Humble Design), we are taking donations through this Sunday, May 17th! We appreciate your support!
Thank you to all of the families that participated! Here are a some of the images!
