How many children do you have and what are their names and ages?

Joey- 6 Anthony- 5 Lily- 3 Michael-1

 

Where do you live, why did you decide to raise your family there?

You can frequently find me driving down Southfield from my children’s father’s house in Beverly Hills, my house in Berkley, and then my childhood home [where Nana and Grandpa still live] in Dearborn.

What’s your favorite family activity in the area?

Park-hopping! With a bag full of snacks and 4 always ready to run, you can find us exploring new parks and old favorites almost every day. Our current spot is Sullivan Park near 14 and Greenfield.

 

 

Tell us the story behind Mom to Mom Nutrition! How did you come up with the idea?

Our family grew- and fast! My background as a registered dietitian nutritionist includes experience in health communications, so I knew blogging was an option to not only connect with like-minded parents, but keep my credentials current as well. Mom to Mom Nutrition is my place to share real-life stories and tips about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to raising a healthy family. More often than not you’ll find recipes, realistic nutrition advice, and most of all, encouragement. Because feeding kids is hard. A lot harder than we’re lead to believe.

 

You’re a busy mom! Tell us how you manage mom life with 4 kids, and make time to take care of the business?!

If I’m being honest, when I first started M2MN there was no method to my madness. I did a lot of writing when the kids were asleep, and recipe development on the fly- hoping my kids would eat what I made! Fast forward to almost 6 years, and I have the opportunity to carve out a few kid-free workdays that I dedicate to M2MN. It’s definitely the silver lining of a recent separation and changes in parenting time. I can now be 100% present when I’m with my children, and 100% business focused on the days when they are with their dad.

 

Please share any advice on feeding littles!

Feeding kids is HARD. A lot harder than this foodie-Mom anticipated. From picky eating to food throwing, I’ve saved you a seat at my kitchen table, where I’ll share what works and what doesn’t when feeding my kids. All of my recipes are toddler tested and approved.
