Dr. Keshav Grover – Aesthetica | Birmingham Bloomfield Hills Moms

This month I got to sit down with Dr. Keshav Grover and dive more into the beauty side of his business, Aesthetica. Dr. Keshav Grover founded Aesthetica after witnessing an overuse of anti-aging treatments that often result in an unnatural appearance. His goal is to provide a tailored approach and concierge level service to each and every client we see. In addition to non-surgical anti-aging medical treatments, they offer clients a curated selection of organic and vegan skincare lines, hand-picked by Dr. Grover himself.

What’s the difference between physical led medical spa vs treatments at a spa

The unique difference that individuals will notice is that we are results driven for our patients and clients. We offer both spa and medical grade aesthetic services. The advantage of coming to Aesthetica is that we can cater to those looking for a rejuvenating facial all the way to someone looking for a non-surgical facelift. Our team is highly skilled and equipped with the experience to make you feel refreshed and your best!

What kind of treatments do you offer?

We offer a range of treatments from facials, chemical peels, micro needling, PRP, Hair Rejuvenation, Botox, Fillers, PDO Thread lifts, Laser Skin Treatments (i.e. hair removal, IPL/Photo facials, skin resurfacing, and vein treatments). We also have a wide range of skincare products in our own skincare line as well as from ZO Skin Health and Shiffa Beauty.

What are the most important factors for maintaining healthy skin?

This is extremely variable. Consistency is key in ensuring the best skin possible. I would have to pick both having a consistent skin care regimen as well as fine tuning one’s inner self and focusing on consuming the best foods/products and avoiding ones that may be contributing to conditions like acne, eczema, etc. Coming into our clinic for regular procedures will significantly help as well.

When thinking about your skincare line up, what does that look like? What kind of products or ingredients should be included in our am vs pm line up?

My skincare lineup begins with a good cleanser from one of our lines followed by a vitamin c/antioxidant serum, then I use a moisturizing hyaluronic acid serum, next I I use a moisturizing lotion, and to top it off I use an SPF on my face, ears, and neck every morning.

I recommend using a Vitamin C/ Antioxidant serum in the morning and a Retinol/ Retinoid product in the PM. For Retinols I like to begin with using it once a week and working it up to 2-4x/week depending on how much a person can tolerate. I do not recommend this for pregnant or nursing mothers.

If you’re overwhelmed or on a budget, what are the top 2 treatments you recommend to do year to up see your healthy and a glowing skin.

  • Having a good skincare regimen is key for anyone and will save you money in the long run.
  • Skincare/ aesthetic procedures are variable and depend on the need of the patient and skin type.
  • Nutrition and optimizing your lifestyle can actually pay dividends towards our aesthetic outcomes as well.
