Meet the mom behind hundreds of kids birthday parties in our area. She keeps the littles busy with her modern bounce houses, slides, ball pits and so much more! I love how Amy saw something that was lacking for our littles and created it. When she’s not working with a local mom on a birthday party, she juggles her twin 4 year old boys, Aiden and Austin and sits on the planning committee for the Sound Siren event put on by the Detroit Crime Commission.
How many children do you have and what are their names and ages?
I have 4 year old twin boys; Aiden and Austin. My furry child is Lucy. She is a 6 year old Yorkie.
Where do your kids go to school?
Berkley Building Blocks. Shout out to Ms. Ieisha and Ms. Alexus! The best teachers ever!
You have such a fun business, Totcercise, how did you get started and tell us all about it.
When I was planning my boys’ first birthday party, I could not find any activities specifically catered to infants/toddlers. As the Senior Sales Manager at the Garden Theater in Detroit, I am constantly in touch with vendors working in the events space. After realizing there was a lack of great infant/toddler options/attractions that were being offered, I started doing research and Totcercise was born. We have since expanded to have modern bounce houses, personalization, ball pits, slides and much more!
What is the most fun part of owning Totcercise?
It is nice to know that we are bringing entertainment and fun to the people and places that invite us to be a part of their events. It’s special knowing we are helping to create lots of happy memories.

The most important thing to know is that we are a family operated business so we are directly in touch with all of our customers and do our best to fulfill all their wishes! We offer soft play gyms, modern bounce houses, ball pits, kids tables and chairs, and more fun items coming soon!
Tell us a fun fact about you –
I’m on the planning committee for the Sound Siren event put on by the Detroit Crime Commission. Being a part of this extraordinary event is important to me because all of the proceeds support efforts to stop human trafficking.
What made you decide to raise your family here?
I was born and raised in Metro Detroit, and really love it here. I have family nearby and I love the changing seasons.
What’s your favorite family activity to do during the holiday?
We are obsessed with the holiday season! We love Greenfield Village Holiday Nights and we started a new tradition this year of skiing at Boyne Mountain.
What are you and your family looking forward to in 2023? I honestly can’t believe I’m saying that.
We just bought a new house in Bloomfield Hills! We’re excited to move in, have more space for my energetic boys, and work on making it into our dream home.
What do you do to balance your own life and motherhood? What do you do for “me” time? Juggling your own business and kids is always hardwork.
It is definitely a balance! I love my boys, but sometimes all moms need time to do their own thing. A good girls night out provides the space to catch up with friends, try out new restaurants and have some fun!
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
I’m so thankful for my mom and my in-laws. I don’t know how we would make it through life without them.
