You’re the owner of Oh LaLa Baby Spa. A relaxation, bonding, and wellness spa for you and your little one. You must tell us all about it
This spa is all about baby wellness. Our services are holistic which means we use all natural methods to promote overall well being in babies! Our hydrotherapy sessions promote cognitive & motor development. The massage promotes relaxation and calms babies nervous systems. We aim to provide a one of a kind experience for both mom & baby.
What are some of your offerings and what can mom and baby expect at Oh Lala Baby Spa?
We offer a variety of services such as hydrotherapy, massage, photography, customized gift boxes & even sensory workshops. We handcraft oils & soaps that are 100% organic geared towards promoting sleep, improving mood and relieving tummy aches such as constipation and of course colic. You can expect to walk into an environment that puts you and your baby in a safe space designed with mom in mind & babies at heart!
You’re a nurse by trade? Tell us more about your background and what made you start Oh Lala Baby Spa? It’s so unique to our area and we adore it.
I have been a nurse for 6 years, and I am also a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Oh Lala Baby Spa was born with my daughter. When I gave birth, postpartum was a difficult time. My daughter struggled with colic and sleep was absolutely non-existent for me. I tried to find a place to go just so I could get out of the house. Sadly, I found nothing in our state specifically for babies. Instead I found baby spas outside of the country and the nearest one to me was in a different state. From there I began my journey to bring this unique experience here. Also, I was determined to take it one step further, I created protocols for hydrotherapy, began my certification and designed services specifically for moms and babies. My goal was to create more than a baby spa, I wanted Oh Lala Baby Spa to be a safe haven.
Tell us a fun fact about you?
I’m all about trying new adventures & I have a passion for traveling.
What made you decide to raise your family here?
I wanted a family-oriented city, although I despise the cold. My whole family resides here. As you know it takes a village to raise a child and I’d be nothing without my village.
What’s your favorite family activity to do in the summer?
We love to swim, so we visit waterparks, lakes and travel to beaches as much as we can.
What do you do to balance your own life and motherhood? What do you do for “me” time? Juggling your own business and kids is always hardwork.
I try my best to manage my time wisely, which is difficult but doable. I try as hard as I can to incorporate at least half an hour of self-care a day. I detox using my sauna, I try to work-out, or even just some quiet time with a cup of coffee always helps.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
Absolutely, I would love to thank my husband, my parents & my mother-in-law. Their support is endless & I am forever grateful.
